Participants are expected to have reviewed the Draft ArcGIS Atmospheric Data Model document (January 2005) prior to the workshop.

  • Introduction of the workshop and ESRI perspective - Lori Armstrong (ESRI)
  • Overview of the Atmospheric Data Model - Scott Shipley (Raytheon)
  • Atmospheric Data Model Status - Joe Breman (ESRI)
  • Discussion - participants
  • Assignment I
      Separate into working groups
        Atmospheric Data Objects - categorize data items
        Use Cases - how data objects are used by GIS

Lunch (with working group)

  • Summaries by group leaders from working groups
  • Assignment II
      Continue Assignment I as needed
      or
      Topologies - define data object properties and structure
      Standards - existing and emerging
  • Review of the day, future plans - Scott Shipley (Raytheon)

Friday evening: dinner and a "social hour" at a brewpub
