A Layer Stack represents the key logical grouping of atmospheric objects which were identified at the first Atmospheric Data Modeling Workshop in 2004 in Seattle. Elements in each layer share common properties and behaviors. The layers in the Layer Stack, after further refinement, will become the object classes in the Atmospheric Data Model.

This Layer Stack is only a draft. Please direct suggestions or comments to atmosig@ucar.edu
