The ArcGIS Atmospheric Data Modeling
Workshops
The Fifth
Atmospheric Data Modeling Workshop took place on January 25, 2008 in New
Orleans, LA.
The Forth
Atmospheric Data Modeling Workshop took place on January 18, 2007 in San
Antonio, TX.
The Third
Atmospheric Data Modeling Workshop took place on February 3, 2006 at the Weather Channel in Atlanta,
GA. The workshop organizers and
participants extend their sincere appreciation to The Weather Channel staff
for hosting our meeting. This year there were twenty one participants from a
wide-ranging community, including members of government, military, university,
research institutes and industry.
The Second
Atmospheric Data Modeling Workshop took place on January 14, 2005 at the Marriott Hotel &
Marina in San Diego, CA. Thanks
to Scott Shipley (Raytheon, George Mason
University), Joe Breman (ESRI), and Jennifer Boehnert (UCAR) for
facilitating the workshop.
First
Atmospheric Data Modeling Workshop took place on January 16-17, 2004 at NOAA PMEL Lab in Seattle,
WA. Thanks to Tiffany Vance and Nazi Merati for being great hosts! During the course of the
meeting, the representatives from the atmospheric community worked closely
with ESRI development staff to identify GIS approaches for handling
atmospheric data more effectively and began the process of designing a
community data model. The first data modeling meeting in Seattle
centered upon the conceptual design of the atmospheric data model for ArcGIS.
