GIS User Group - September 12th, 2007

Everyone is welcome! Whether you have been using GIS for years, just learning, or wanting to learn the UCAR GIS User Group (UGUG) will have something for you. These meetings provide a forum for networking, education, and fun.

The UCAR GIS User Group will meet the second Wednesday of each month.

Working with Google Earth and ArcGIS

Tiffany Dahl - ACD

Tiffany will discuss the basics of converting ArcMap objects to kmz files for use in GE, as well as options available for folks who want to convert polygons/paths/points that they created in GE into shapefiles which can be imported into ArcMap.  She will present some of the caveats/problems encountered in learning to do these conversions and finish with a slide containing useful links to some of the online resources.

Rick Koehler - Survey Markers
